Our History
The Static Guard® brand has a long and rich history spanning over 50 years. We first launched in 1961 as one of the original fabric sprays designed to eliminate static cling. Static Guard® quickly revolutionized fabric care by providing an easy, instant solution to stop clothes from clinging and crackling.
In the early days, we only produced aerosol sprays. But over the decades, we have expanded our product line to keep up with the changing needs of our customers. Some of our innovations include:
- Launching the first non-aerosol Static Guard® spray in 1989
- Introducing Dryer Sheets in 2001 for static protection in the dryer
- Developing a Liquid Static Guard® formula in 2011 for smooth, even application
